20 fishing spots · Florida
Collier County offers some of the most diverse and productive fishing in all of Florida. From the urban canals and passes of Naples to the vast, wild backcountry of the Ten Thousand Islands, this county covers every style of Florida inshore fishing. Gordon Pass and Wiggins Pass funnel baitfish and game fish with every tide change — prime ambush points for Snook and Tarpon. The grass flats of Naples Bay and Rookery Bay hold Redfish and Spotted Seatrout year-round, while Marco Island provides access to both the backcountry and open Gulf. The Ten Thousand Islands is one of Florida's most legendary fisheries: an ancient maze of mangrove islands and tidal creeks that holds enormous Snook, Bull Redfish, and Mangrove Snapper in near-wilderness conditions. Spring brings Tarpon migrating along the beaches from Naples to Marco Island.
