Flatfish common in coastal bays and flats. Excellent eating and popular sport fish.
Fall (October–December) is prime as fish move to deeper water. Spring also productive.
Slow drift with live shrimp or finger mullet near bottom. White jigs crawled slowly across sandy bottom.
12" minimum, 10 fish/day.
Flounder lie flat on the bottom — slow your retrieve way down. Live shrimp on a 1/8oz jig head drifted slowly is deadly.
